On-Demand Auto Detailer app that connects customers to skilled detailers around Southern California and four other states. With the passing of AB5, MobileWash was poised for a change in their business model.
MobileWash was making change to its current business model. We will explore adding bidding process as a feature in response to recent California Law AB5. Also add a "new coat of paint" to both the customer and the washer side of the platform.
We gathered valuable data from internal interviews, competitive analysis, google analytics, and customer reviews. As well as researched and incorporated ways to work with California's AB5 laws.
A thorough content audit and mapping the customer journey was key to development. User flows help defined the 2 sided market to achieve goals and identify issues.
Bring a new look to the app, vibrant and fresh. We want to give the user room to breathe and incorporate white space. As well as differentiate the various stages of the app and give the users full control and easy access to important info.
A Two-Sided Marketplace business model is a platform for economic exchange between two distinct user groups that provide each other with the benefits of a larger network. Within each user the tasks to be completed converge at various touch points. Connecting a customer to a detailer while scheduling a wash, mapping a location for the wash to occur, as well as tipping, and mutual rating. Other screens to be address are educational onboarding and bidding: requesting, confirming, acceptance, and declining.
The customer will be have a clear path to conversion. Clear and concise, allowing easy in-and-out to all crucial informations. Key screens will include: Location input, Vehicle Input, and Package Selection + add-ons. I also expanded upon the home-screen of the customer, including current list of cars, star rating (for a mutual rating system), current location, which is used in the current app, as well as deals and up-sells.
Understanding AB5 was crucial to the process I was assigned to.
•At the moment the customer receives the estimated total, the are prompted to adjust according to their desired rate.
•Upon said proposal the Washers have a choice to accept the job or reject the suggested rate.
